Chalk paint is amazing stuff, however the waxing part is tough work if you don't have the proper tools. That being said it's not enough of a deterrent to make me want to stop using chalk paint! I love how quickly you can paint a project and get to the visual part that much quicker! Here is a french provincial night stand that I picked up for $5.99 at the local thrift shop.
This curvy girl was picked up through my local FB sales group. She is solid wood!
I wet sanded this one with baby wipes also and then waxed with clear and dark wax's after that. At first I went to heavy with the dark wax and it took some elbow grease to clean it back up to match the vision I had in my head. To clean off the dark wax you use your clear wax and it rubs off.
I purchased this coffee table at a local pickers warehouse that is full of all kinds of fun!
I just love this coffee table and want to keep her, however she will be for sale first through my FB page https://www.facebook.com/#!/JosiesAttic and will also be at the shop Coastal Muse in Bandon, OR https://www.facebook.com/CoastalMuseart?ref=hl. Thanks for looking I would love to hear about your projects!! Comments are welcome!
